John “JJ” Burke – Executive Director

John has been a business owner for over 20 years and decided to try something new and has been hired as the Executive Director in 2012. He has also been the President of the Woodland Planters Days committee since 2002. He is also the Master of the Woodland Grange. and President of the Woodland Museum. He moved here in 1992 after retiring from the U.S. Coast Guard as a Senior Chief “Gunnersmate” with 22 1/2 years of service.  He originally was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and has a wife, Shirley and 2 children and 3 grandchildren. JJ is also serving his 3rd term on the Woodland City council and has NEVER missed a council meeting! He has been selected as the           “2011 Citizen of the Year

Shannon Cahoon – Board Member

Shannon Cahoon is the Community Outreach Coordinator at Fibre Federal Credit Union. She was elected to the Woodland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2012.

Shannon is very active in the Woodland community, from her participation at the Chamber,to helping to organize the Woodland Hot Summer Nights Concert Series, to enjoying the annual Planter’s Days celebration.

Vivian Mosby – Board Member

Vivian grew up in New York, graduated from the State University system with a BA cum Laude and started a career in hotel management. After being recruited by a small Hilton hotel in Florida, she spent 25 years in hotel management including working for such hotels as Hilton, Hyatt, Residence Inn by Marriott, Ramada and Red Lion. Moving to Washington in 1991, Vivian purchased a small Grange Insurance agency in Woodland in 1993, working from the Grange Hall. The size of the agency grew and doubled by 1998. In 1999 Grange Insurance offered Mosby Insurance another Grange agency in Longview. This agency along with an independent agency was purchased in Longview and Mosby Insurance became independent, merging 3 agencies: Cathlamet, Longview, and Woodland, and subsequently licensed in both Washington and Oregon.

Mosby Insurance has been in business for 20 years with an small but excellent staff, giving Vivian the leisure time to travel and spend time on community boards and projects.
